In the presence of Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, and of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheik Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, signed on Monday in this capital two cooperation agreements between the two nations.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and his counterpart of Qatar, Khaled Bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, signed the agreement related to the reciprocal elimination of the visa requirement for special diplomatic passports and service passports.
As registered on the document, this will facilitate the process of entry and departure of citizens of the two countries, and strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in different spheres.
In addition, Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, and Sheik Abdullah Bin Mohamed Bin Saud Al-Thani, executive president of the Authority of Qatar for Investment, signed a memorandum of understanding referring to mutual cooperation.
With the signing of this document, the willingness of the authorities of the State of Qatar of executing investments in Cuba over the next five years was ratified.
