Secretary of Agriculture of the United States, Thomas Vilsack, arrived in Havana and met with Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, thus he became the third member of the cabinet of Barack Obama to visit the Caribbean island, since the two countries resumed their diplomatic relations this year.
Vilsack and Cabrisas talked among other topics of "the interests of American agriculture" and the restrictions of the US embargo against the island.
They also talk about the restrictions of the economic embargo applied by the US government to the Greater Antilles and the obstacles they represent to bilateral trade.
