Cuba achieved its first victory in the 2015 WBSC Premier 12 by beating the Netherlands 6-5 in match held in the Intercontinental Stadium of Taichung City, Chinese Taipei.  
Cuba took the lead in the sixth inning when combining hits by Lourdes Y. Gourriel, Yulieski Gourriel and Alfredo Despaigne plus sacri-fly by catcher Yosvany Alarcón and a homer by Stayler Hernández, valid to score four runs.  
The winning run came in the eighth inning when Alarcon singled to drive in Yuliesky Gourriel from third base. 
After losing 5-1 in its opener against Canada, Cuba now has balance of one win and one loss in Group A of WBSC Premier 12, and its next match will be on Thursday against Puerto Rico.
