German airline starts flights to Cuba
German airline Eurowings of the Deutsche Lufthansa AG group, will start -from November2nd -services to Cuba with the addition of two weekly flights from Cologne/Bonn to Varadero. This operation provides excellent opportunities to continue strengthening ties between the Greater Antilles and the German nation and confirms the commitment of Germany by Destiny Cuba.
Eurowings operation is a positive contribution to the development of the German tourism market to the destination Cuba, especially at a time when demand exceeds the capacity offered by the other two airlines flying to Cuba: Condor and Air Berlin.
The German market is of considerable importance for the Cuban tourism. Germany remains positioned between the three main tourism markets on the island, with an accumulated number of visitors -up to the end of the month of September- of 115,786 Germans.
