The Argentinean president will visit Cuba on Sunday 20, to attend Pope Francis'  Mass in Havana, a week before traveling to New York for her last participation in the UN General Assembly. The arrival of the president on the Caribbean island for the visit of the Holy Father had leaked weeks ago, but yesterday was officially confirmed by the Foreign Ministry in a statement.
"President Cristina Kirchner has accepted the invitation of her Cuban counterpart Raul Castro to attend the Mass that Pope Francis will officiate at the Revolution Square in Havana on Sunday September 20."
