The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, yesterday said goodbye to 50 doctors in the country who will attend high complexity specialties in Cuba, the official press reported.
"My respect and admiration for their knowledge, their commitment to life, with Bolivia. Is a fair recognition this specialization, the scholarship of the Bolivian state," Morales said at the ceremony of the Quemado Palace.
"To date, more than six thousand Bolivian doctors trained in Cuba with a social conscience," said Morales who recalled that the Cuban cooperation in Bolivia prompted the Operation Miracle program that restored sight to over 600 thousand people.
The president thanked Cuba and recalled the changes in Latin America that has brought the solidarity of the Caribbean professionals.
