Old Havana prepares its finery to welcome Pope Francis
Mountaineers, bricklayers, builders and restorers embellish even more the Cathedral and the old building of the Seminary of San Carlos and San Ambrosio, now Father Felix Varela Cultural Center in Old Havana. Both places, connected by an interior corridor, are waiting for the Pope Francis in the afternoon of Sunday September 20, scales of his visit to the island.
But who walk now the pavement of the oldest streets of Havana, will find a group of workers and teachers restorers, repairing floors or cleaning with high pressure hoses lattices of the old Seminary where Father Felix Varela studied.
