Chilean foreign minister to visit Cuba in September
Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz will visit Cuba in early September with the aim of strengthening political and economic ties between the two countries, the Chilean press announced today.
According to statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, between 3rd and 5th September Muñoz will arrive in the Caribbean island with a delegation of representatives from government, public authorities and entrepreneurs.
The arrival of the diplomat will be the first official visit by a foreign minister of that country to the Greater Antilles. The fact is driven by the recent opening of Cuba to the United States, which is triggering economically favorable situations.
