Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca, who concludes today an official visit to China, and his counterpart, Gao Hucheng, called for increasing economic and trade relations.
The Final Act signed by both ministers planned economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations for the period 2016-2020.
Both parties welcomed the forthcoming opening of a direct flight of Air China to join Havana and Beijing.
The Cuban side announced its willingness to start from 2016, the gradual use of the yuan in bilateral trade, which highlights the strategic nature of its links.
After the official talks several agreements related to renewable energy and Cuban exports of nickel were signed.
