A dozen journalism students and professors at the Fullerton University of California prepare to travel in the fall to Havana as part of an exchange program made possible by the thaw in relations between the US and Cuba, reported on Monday the digital portal 89.3KPCC.
"The American students will learn about the culture of Cuba, its medical system, and other topics in a course on international journalism collaborating with the University of Havana."
Dean Kazoleas, Professor of Cal State Fullerton, said last year that his campus hosted nine Cuban journalists and visitors, in an encounter that helped seal the fall trip to Havana for students and instructors.
It is expected that Cuban journalism students attend an American university next spring.
