The Cuban singer-songwriter Carlos Varela will be performing on July 25 at the Weill Recital Hall of the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park, California. 
The troubadour gained fame in the 1980s, when he joined the Nueva Trova movement.
His work has been recognized in the US as his song Muros y puertas was included in Jackson Brown and´s album "Standing in the Breach". Also his song "Una Palabra" was heard in the films "Power Keg" and "Man on Fire ".
The benefits from the concert  will go support the organization Californians Building Bridges which is devote to support cultural, humanitarian and business exchanges between the people of Cuba and California.
