Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez Ceren will pay an official visit to Cuba on May 26 and 27 to review trade issues with his counterpart Raul Castro, said on Tuesday the Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez. "We will make an official visit of President Sanchez Ceren and a group of ministers to Havana to progress on bilateral relations, both in commercial and cooperation areas," Martinez said in an interview to Radio YSKL.
The head of the Salvadoran diplomacy explained that his country has 14 agreements with Cuba in the areas of trade and cooperation, and seven of which are running and the rest "is in the process of implementation analysis."
El Salvador restored diplomatic relations with Cuba in June 2009, at the beginning of the term of Mauricio Funes (2009-2014).
