French oil group Total signed with the Cuban state company Cubapetroleo (Cupet) the extension of a preliminary agreement on their business of selling petroleum products, announced today a Total spokesman in Paris.
This agreement does not concern at all sea oil drilling, stressed the spokesman.
Total is present in Cuba since 1993, mainly in the field of marketing of petroleum products (car and industrial lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, fuel additives)
The group also provides "technical assistance" in four airports in the country and business activity of refined oil products from Cubametales, minerals and metals import and export society.
