The rapprochement between the US and Cuba seems to be the prelude to a flurry of diplomatic efforts to normalize relations with other nations with which the island was detached.
That thaw is reflected in the visit that French President Francois Hollande begins on Monday, which it is full of great symbolism , as it will be the first one of a representative of the European Union in the 56 years of the Cuban revolution.
Visits to the island of businessmen and politicians alien to the American continent have increased since December 17th.
A delegation of businessmen from the United Kingdom headed by Lord Hutton, who chairs the Cuba Initiative, made a recent visit to the island during which agreements were signed for a value of $ 400 million in various sectors, including agriculture, energy and tourism.
Recently, Japan also sent for the first time a chancellor, Fumio Kishida, who announced that Tokyo will grant non-refundable aid to the island, without specifying figures. The delegation was composed of twenty businessmen from various sectors, including automotive, financial, infrastructure, health and tourism.
