San Luis, Contramaestre, Mella, Guama and Segundo Frente are the municipalities of Santiago de Cuba who have benefited from the recent opening of new rooms for web browsing.

The news comes a few weeks after the Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (ETECSA) disprove the possibility of connecting to the Internet via WIFI at the Recreation Technology Center of Santiago de Cuba, information generated great frustration among local users.

The five rooms that have opened their doors this Saturday, offer public Internet service and account management of international mail, known as Nauta, according to local newspaper Sierra Maestra.

The initiative is a joint project of the Youth Computer and Territorial Division Etecsa. To carry out several classrooms have been enabled within the premises of the Youth Club that went into service navigation Nauta. The implementation has required changing some of the computers, which were already in disrepair for technical problems.
