Leinier Dominguez finished the eighth round of chess Grand Prix Tbilisi ranking fifth in the standings, led by Russian Evgeny Tomashevsky.

From the capital of Georgia organizers reported that the Cuban (2726 Elo) signed tables with Russian Dmitry Jakovenko (2733) and shows four units.
