Cuban Lisandra Guerra finished in ninth place in the 500m Individual time trial during the second competitive day of the World Championships Track Cycling, held in Paris.

Guerra, who occupied until then the second seat of ranking Orb trial ended his career on the velodrome in Saint-Quentin with a time of 34,226 seconds, enough to access the podium awards, reflected the official website of the contest.

The Russian Anastasia Voynova won the gold metal, recording the fastest lap of the 21 competitors (33 149), but could not lower the 33 seconds, far closer to the world record of 32,836 imposed in December 2013 by the Australian Anna Meares in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes.

Precisely Meares (33 425) the second venue, followed by the German Miriam Welte (33.699), who hung bronze medal brokered.
