The Cuban doctor Felix Baez Sarria, who was infected with the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone, arrived Saturday in Havana after receiving treatment in Switzerland. The doctor assured that he intends to return to the African country to continue helping fight the virus.

"I will finish what I started," said Baez in his appearance at the airport of Havana, where he landed days after confirming the disappearance of the virus from his body after receiving treatment at the highest level.

The doctor, 43 years old and specialist in internal medicine, thanked his treatment at the Geneva hospital where he was treated after testing positive for Ebola in November.

The Ministry of Health also expressed its gratitude to the World Health Organization (WHO), the governments of Switzerland and Sierra Leone and health workers who participated in the recovery of health.
