The Latin Grammy awards smiled at Cubans Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona, who along with the Spanish Enrique Iglesias took home three awards for the categories of Best Song of the Year, Best urban song and Best urban interpretation.
The song "Bailando" is the production that has made these musicians winning three Grammy Awards. For many it's no surprise since the song has been number one for several weeks and has gained acceptance worldwide.
Two other Cubans were also awarded: saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera & Trio Corrente, Best Latin Jazz Album for Song For Maura; and in the category of Best Instrumental Album, was recognized Arturo O'Farrill & The Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra for Final Night At Birdland.
