The Association of Cuban Residents in Lebanon commended the health professionals who have traveled the country to combat Ebola in Africa. The highlighted the supportive nature of the Cuban government facing these times of crisis.

A message propagated by social networks emphasized that despite material shortages exacerbated by the US hostility Cubans have always step up humanitarian aid provided wherever it was need.

Cubans living in this Arab nation stressed that 461 doctors and other health professionals went to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, the three countries where there have been more cases of Ebola to combat this serious infectious disease.

The association recalled that in October of each year the United Nations General Assembly meets to approve a resolution presented by the Havana government on the need to end the American economic blockade against the island, maybe it's time to do it.
