MIFFecito 2014, preliminary event at the Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) began on October 16 in the city mentioned. In this festival public can enjoy some of the films that will participate in the 32nd edition of the MIFF, which will take place in March 2015.

Organized by Miami Dade College (MDC) MIFFecito 2014 includes tapes, from countries such as Italy, Mexico, Cuba, Poland and Spain, among others, which are openings in the United States and / or in Florida.

MIFFecito opened with the Cuban film Conducta, by Ernesto Daranas. The film tells the story of Chala, an 11 years old boy who lives with his drug-addicted mother, trained as fighting dogs and cares economic sustenance and respect for his sixth-grade teacher, Carmela. But when she gets sick and leave the classroom for several months, a new teacher, unable to handle the character of Chala, moves it to a behavior school.

Daranas (Havana, 1961) has worked in film, television, theater, teaching and radio, and his filmography includes The last bagpipers in Havana (2004), The Broken Gods (2008) and Bluechacha (2012) .

The films Paradise (Mexico), Mariana Chenillo also screened; Root (Chile), Matias Rojas Valencia; Lake Los Angeles (USA), Mike Ott; Vara: A Blessing (Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong), Khyentse Norbu of; Life Feels Good (Poland), Maciej Pieprzyca; I Can Quit Whenever I Want (Italy), Sydney Sibilia; Carmina and amen (Spain), Paco León and Basque surnames Eights (Spain), Emilio Martínez-Lázaro.

The event includes talks and meetings with artists such as Venezuelan playwright Moises Kaufman, actor Roberto Sanchez, the director Mariana Chenillo, filmmaker Ernesto Daranas and Cuban actor Hector Noas, among others.
