Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés said he is preparing a jazz duet album that plans to record in March next year in New York. He said he plans to include great international voices and instrumentalists, but he didn’t give any more details.

Renowned musician also reported that he is composing the soundtrack for a Spanish-Cuban film, whose title is Esteban and piano. Nor did many details about the film but explained that the soundtrack will be recorded in Benalmádena, municipality in the Spanish province of Málaga.

Renowned jazz performer featured recently in Benalmádena a concert dedicated to his father, pianist Bebo Valdés, whose proceeds will go to a foundation dedicated to the care of cancer patients and a campaign to restore the sight of a child with retinopathy.
