The America Bobia Award2014, in honor of the author of Archer Zodiac, was granted to Leymen Pérez for his work entitled "The Death of Things", which was the winner among fifty unpublished poems sent to Ediciones Vigia. 

Perez, who serves as editor at Editions Matanzas, said his text is characterized by concision, expressive rhythm, and his intertextual dialogue with favorite writer Fyodor Dostoevsky, and it is included in a book that is currently working appointed Country in ruins.

The publisher Gladys Mederos, and the writers Hugo Hodelín and Israel Dominguez, jurors of the award, stressed the dignity of the works in competition, originating from territories such as Havana, Villa Clara, Camaguey, Santiago de Cuba and Matanzas hostess.
