Multinational art project Up With People will act for the first time in Cuba

Up With People confirmed their visit to Cuba, the multinational art project will include the cities Santa Clara and Havana in its traditional annual tour among countries in North America and Europe. This is going to be the first time they act in Cuba.
This group of amateur artists was founded in the United States in 1965. Lisbeth Ruiz and Pedro Pablo Cruz are the only two Cubans who have integrated this sui generis "trouppé".
The colorful spectacle of almost three hours include a performance of La Guantanamera, perhaps the most international of Cuban songs, thanks to the American folk singer Pete Seeger.
More than 80 young art lovers from around 15 countries will arrive with the Up With People on October 15 to hold meetings with students and provide live performances.
The concerts will be at the theater La Caridad and Leoncio Vidal Park, in Santa Clara; and the Miramar Theater and Pink Tropical Hall, in Havana, with free admission.
This project is supported by many former members, because in its 50 years of existence tours accumulates more than 60 nations and about 22 thousand members of 96 nationalities.
