Cuban Under-21 soccer team is in El Salvador, making friendly games that are part of their preparation for the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz (Mexico) 2014. Raul Gonzalez Triana, team manager, explained that the preparation scheduled for 11 weeks has been fulfilled.

Cubans played against El Salvador’s team in the stadium Las Delicias, in the city of Santa Tecla, adjacent to the capital, where the former won two goals to nil. "This friendly games here gives us the possibility that the team can go about getting ahead of the Central American Games," said Gonzalez Triana.

From El Salvador Cubans will travel to Honduras, where they also have two very important challenges and then return to Havana and play two or three more games. Later, in early November they leave to Mexico to give the final touch to the preparation and optimally get to Central.

This team has almost the complete template that was in the World Cup in Turkey, but now with another year of experience and growth. Luis Miguel Seara, trainer of the team, said the team is in good shape. "We carry 11 weeks of preparation and objectives have been met ", he pointed in a morning practice.

The young team is motivated and quite optimistic about the results that may be on this tour. They hope to match performance with physical and technical-tactical sport demands in the region.
