We have the possibility, with the construction of the school sponsored by Arjona, that Guatemalan authorities requested us three young people to be present since the opening ceremony and begin developing their educational work, Cuban Culture Minister Rafael Bernal told Prensa Latina.

The top official, on a working visit to this Central American nation, stated that the three teachers, Manuel Alvariño, Adonys Lezcano and Abraham Luis Paula, are well trained, and they received in Cuba a comprehensive training about all artistic expressions and cultural concepts.

Referred to the school located in San Agustin Acasaguastlan, northeastern municipality of El Progreso, Bernal stated that this is an architectonical beauty, which has excellent conditions for the technical staff's work with children.

On the other hand, Cuban ambassador to Guatemala, Roberto Blanco, stated that this collaboration is part of an agreement signed in late August between the Cuban Ministry of Culture and the Guatemalan Ministry of Interior.

The diplomat said these three art teachers are part of group of 21 that will arrive in Guatemala to work with children, youths and adolescents in the prevention of crime through strengthening culture in the communities. sus/iff/rsm
