Havana’s Historian to Receive Honoris Causa from Cuban Academy of Arts

The University of the Arts on Friday will grant the Honoris Causa degree to Havana City’s Historian Eusebio Leal, in recognition of his work in the restoration and conservation of the historic center of Havana and safeguard of the national heritage.
Leal is also Dean of the College San Geronimo de La Habana, and the doctorate acknowledges him for his career in the restoration of significant buildings of Old Havana, included the Palace of the Captains General.
Sources from the Cuban Ministry of Culture made special emphasis on the reasons for this award which include his writings, among which they mention Back in time and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes The lost diary.
