The Cuban filmmaker will participate as a judge in the contest which will run from July 31 to August 5. From July 31 to August 5 the Traverse City Film Festival will take place in Traverse City, Michigan, founded and directed by filmmaker Michael Moore, and where the Cuban filmmaker Ian Padrón will take part as a jury member. This is one of the largest film festivals in the Midwest, and among the most respected in the country. The festival also presents classic movies free of charge on a giant outdoor screen overlooking Grand Traverse Bay in the Open Space Park in the evening.
