First Meeting of Cubans Living in the United States to be held in Washington DC

Members of Cuban émigré organizations in Miami are scheduled to participate in the first Meeting of Cubans Living in the United States, to take place on Saturday in Washington DC.
The meeting, hosted and organized by the Cuban Interests Section in the federal district, is part of efforts by the Cuban government to improve relations with Cubans living abroad, especially those in the United States.
Among issues to be debated at the gathering is how to change the U.S.policy toward the island, which is characterized by its aggressiveness and extraterritorial character.
