Santiago lost 7-9 against Mayabeque in Cuban Baseball Series and was eliminated from the playoff for the second consecutive year, this is an unprecedented feature in the history of the club.

The debacle suffered with their best pitchers in this crucial challenge in front of the team with fewer wins in the tournament. Granma team defeated 10-1 to Isle of Youth, surpassed in extremis in the standings in the Eastern division.
