Convention calls for participation in International Health in Cuba

Between days 3 and 7 December this year will be held in Havana's International Convention of Health, for which the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba launched the call.
For the health and welfare of all is the motto who chairs the forum, sponsored by the Pan-American and World Health Organization, and national institutions to analyze the health situation in Cuba and around the world, adds the announcement.
Participants to "Cuba Health 2012", exchange experiences on economic, social, environmental and health implications, changes in health systems and their impact on key indicators and quality of services.
The scientific program includes the strategy of Primary Health Care and its contribution to the welfare of the population, in which Cuba will present their experiences in this model that provides coverage to one hundred percent of its inhabitants, even in the remotest corners and form free.
The training of human resources sector, and community-oriented humanistic approach and challenges in priority programs such as sexual and reproductive health, workers, elderly and disabled, are also issues on the agenda.
Other topics are the development of research systems and technological innovation in health: challenges, realities and prospects in the sector and the internationalization of medical education in Latin America and the Caribbean, announced the organizing committee meeting.
Parallel to the Convention shall be a scientific exposition, in which companies, laboratories, specialized agencies and national and foreign firms, display and market their equipment, technology, medicine and other related materials.
Recent statistics confirm that Spain is the country with the highest number of visits made to the forum site with over 800 thousand, followed by Cuba (464) and U.S. 179.
With regard to unique visitors, Spain tops the list with 652 thousand, while Cuba (438) and U.S. (169) took the steps two and three, according to a note posted on the Health Portal Infomed Cuba.
