Bridging distances is the title of the exhibition audiovisual itinerant Museum of Modern Art in New York to be exhibited for the first time in Cuba and the province of Cienfuegos will host next Sunday.
Joanna Gomez, program specialist of the Provincial Center of Cinema in Havana, confirmed that the program provides for the presentation of works from the collection of videos of the American institution, the agency Prensa Latina.

The initiative reflects the intention of promoting cultural exchange between the two neighboring countries, hampered by the economic blockade imposed by the government in Washington to Havana in 1960.

The exhibition, organized by the Cuban Institute of Cinema, will be on April 8 to the eastern cities of Camaguey, Holguin and Gibara.

Cuban viewers will appreciate short and medium length films including The Barber of Birmingham (Gail Dolgin and Robin Friday, Oscar nominee 2012), Cover Girl (Sarah Nesson, 2010), Miss Devine (Rauch Brothers, 2011), Wet dreams and images false (Jesse Epstein, 2001) Housekeeping (Anthony Weeks, 2009).

The program will start in the movie theater Luisa Martinez Married in Cienfuegos, located 250 kilometers southeast of Havana.
