In the month of April will be held in Havana XXXIII Convention of the Pan American Federation of Engineering (UPADI), for which visit the island specialists from 27 countries members of the organization.

Caparó Antonio Marichal, president of the organizing committee, told AIN that the majority of its members confirmed their presence at the meeting, scheduled from 9 to 13 next month at the Palace of Conventions of Havana.

He specified that key issues are related to maintenance engineering, ocean and coastal mechanical, electrical and industrial watersheds, environment and human development, heritage tourism and urban development, applied chemistry, earthquake resistant structures and others.

One of the largest delegations will be the U.S., which has experts in the Technical Education and Anticorrosive of the organization, which in turn are the coordinators of each of these specialties, as Caparó Marichal.

The appointment of professionals in the region is associated with the IX Construction Fair (FECONS 2012), which will be played at the venue of PABEXPO from 10 to 14 of that month, for the promotion and marketing of products, services and technologies .

The program also includes the Technical Scientific Conference IX.

Havana previously served as the headquarters of two Pan American Convention of Engineers, the first in 1951 and the twentieth in 1988.

UPADI General Assembly, with 27 partner nations, mostly in Latin America and Spain as an observer, will meet in the Hotel Melia Cohiba, according to its sponsors.
