The specialist Elizabeth Prendergast said the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) has planned for 2012 release 13 films that constitute, so far, total production for this year

In an interview with Prensa Latina said that in this scheme, four were filmed last year and are in the editing process. They are: Contigo bread and onions, Juan Carlos Cremata; film Anna, Daniel Diaz, Hopelessly together, Jorge Luis Sanchez Yet Rudy Mora.

Referring to the work of Sanchez highlighted the complexity in the filming of the scenes, characterized mostly by music and dance productions that owns the tape, which lengthens and expensive production process, due, among other factors, the payment copyright by the subjects.

Prendergast said that, unlike the past, today is observed in Cuban cinema a revival in films aimed at children or with a cast made up primarily of children, like and Leontina Yet, both directed by Mora.

In the case of the first film project considered the second child of theater group La Colmenita, debuted as an actor singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez, while the process of filming ended last year.

Prendergast said that in the case of Santana and Zolaya, both projects are its first debut, in the case of wedding dress came about as a documentary in the wrong body, with which the director won an international award last year.

He said that also contains two short fiction, one of Juan Carlos Cremata and another led by actor Jorge Perugorria, that could become films past the editing process.

Comedies and issues related to daily life characterize the Cuban productions of 2012, which are supported financing from negotiations that include some co-productions, which will complete the shooting of at least five films, Prendergast said.
