The UN recognizes the work against HIV / AIDS held in Cuba

The excellent work done in Cuba in the prevention of diseases, mainly HIV / AIDS, has been recognized by UN officials. Carlos Cortes, Senior Advisor to the UN Programme for Development highlighted the success of the island in this respect.

Cortes also noted that Cuba has one of the lowest rates of infected with the virus in Latin America.

In the context of the Sixth Congress of Cuban Education, Sexual Orientation and Therapy, the official acknowledged the work of institutions like the CENESEX, National Center for Sex Education, and schools in the fight against the disease.
