All leaders of Latin American and the Caribbean nations have confirmed their attendance to the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), slated for December in Caracas.
The participation of all heads of state in the region was ratified on Thursday by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez during a press conference, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.
The Venezuelan head of state stressed the significance of the new organization, which will include all Latin American and Caribbean nations, as well as the importance of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas (ALBA) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR). (ACN)
