Cuban embassy officials and experts in education and health will pay tribute to the legendary fighter in this town, where he was assassinated on October 9, 1967.

Organizers told Prensa Latina they will visit various sites of interest, such as the Monument to the Vanguard of the Guerrilla, the clinic where Cuban doctors work and the location of the former school where he was murdered.

They also visited the laundry where his remains were taken and the site where his comrade in struggle, Tamara Bunke, was found.

There will also be a cultural event with the participation of Cuban singers.

Monday, the main event took place in the Bolivian town of Vallegrande, where the remains of Che Guevara lay for three decades.

Cuban Ambassador Rafael Dausa said Che's internationalism is an example for Cuban cooperation workers in Bolivia.

Dausa extolled Che's spirit of solidarity and unity, which motivates them in supporting the process of change led by President Evo Morales.
