CARACAS.— The tour kicked off at the Plaza de las Ballenas de Maracay square, in the state of Aragua on June 10 and it will extend to another seven cities, with a key presentation at the Teresa Carreño Theater, in downtown Caracas on June 23, in a concert that will open cultural celebrations for the Bicentennial of Venezuela´s Independence.

The tour kicked off at the Plaza de las Ballenas de Maracay square, in the state of Aragua on June 10 and it will extend to another seven cities, with a key presentation at the Teresa Carreño Theater, in downtown Caracas on June 23, in a concert that will open cultural celebrations for the Bicentennial of Venezuela´s Independence.

The Buena Fe duet is on its seventh tour of Venezuela, now joined by the Venezuelan band King Changó.

The information was provided by songwriter Kiki Corona, artistic director of the concert. He said that the duet made up of Israel Rojas and Yoel Martinez is one of the groups rescuing the original work of the New Trova Movement, because they make chronicles of today´s reality; they have their own vision of reality, no only about Cuba but about Latin American youth. This fact has turned the duet in one of the most popular music groups in this country, Corona said.

King Changó is one of the most popular bands among the youths in Venezuela; they do the same as Buena Fe, but they play native tunes and they use all musical instruments. They are back on the Venezuelan stage after a successful presentation in New York.

The tour will run until June 25 and includes the states of Aragua, Carabobo, Anzoategui, Miranda, Portuguesa, Falcon, and the Capital District, said Corona.
