Algerian-Cuban cooperation, "extremely fruitful," says FM

ALGIERS- The relations between Algeria and Cuba are marked by an "extremely fruitful and concrete" cooperation, said Sunday here Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci.

"The long-standing relations between Algeria and Cuba, which are marked by an active solidarity and an extremely fruitful and concrete cooperation in various fields, especially in health, youths and sports," Medelci declared in a press conference held jointly with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

He underlined that the visit of the Cuban minister to Algeria, which comes few weeks ahead of the 17th Algeria-Cuba Joint Commission in Havana, is an opportunity to broaden cooperation to other fields, including mainly agriculture, fishing, water resources, training and scientific research, as well as new information and communication technologies (ICT).
