On the under-card, Miguel Angel “Mikey” Garcia (25-0, 21 KO) soundly defeated New England prospect Matt Remillard (23-1, 13 KO) Remillard came to fight, but he was clearly outclassed by the more aggressive and talented Garcia.  As the fight went on Garcia was able to wear down the game Remillard and was able to drop him twice in round 9, and again in round 10.  Remillard's corner rightfully stopped the fight before the 11th round could start.
