Escrito por Dayami Interián García.jueves, 30 de diciembre de 2010. San Jose, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban cyclist Arnold Alcolea won the points title in the Vuelta a Costa Rica Tour, after completing the last stage between the city of Perez Zeledon and the capital.

Alcolea won with 151 points, and was tenth in the general classification, just 18.29 minutes behind the winner, Costa Rican cyclist Juan Carlos Rojas.

Rojas completed the 1,406 kilometers (about 873.6 miles) of the competition with a time of 36:27.12 hours, ahead of fellow Costa Rican Henry Raabe, and Colombian Aldo Valero.

This year, the Costa Rica Tour welcomed five local teams and six from other countries: Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, and Holland.

For the Cubans, it was an excellent opportunity to train before the 36th Vuelta a Cuba Tour, scheduled for February 8-20. hr/rab/dig/am. Modificado el (jueves, 30 de diciembre de 2010)
