Raul Castro Visits Prima Ballerina Alicia Alonso

Escrito por Ana Julia Suarez Cruz. miércoles, 22 de diciembre de 2010. Havana (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Raul Castro visited prima ballerina absolute Alicia Alonso at her home on her 90th birthday.

Alonso, founder of the National Ballet of Cuba, was surruonded by her family, friends, and collaborators in a private and cordial environment when the Cuban president came to visit her, the Granma newspaper reports.

During his stay at the house of the world-renowned ballerina, the president presented her a basket with flowers and delicate perfumes especially hand-made for her in Old Havana.

Visibly moved, Alicia Alonso thanked him for that gesture on a such special day.
