2010.12.10 - 15:01:59 / [email protected]. Havana, Cuba.- Habano cigars and ceramics by Cuban artist Daniel Santander are some of the attractions of the Cuban stand at the 11th International Tourism and Travel Fair underway in Alger, Algeria.

The Cuban products have called the attention of hundreds of visitors to the Safex Exposition Palace, including Algerian Minister of Tourism and Craft Smail Mimoune.

The Cuban program in the fair includes a special presentation of the promotional campaign “Autentica Cuba” which promotes the values of the island’s nature, history, heritage and culture, says a press release by the Cuban Tourism Ministry.

Likewise specialists on the leisure industry from the island will hold business meetings with Algerian travel agents and tour operators, and some of them will lectures on the Cuban potential as one of the most visited tourism destinations in Latin America.

As part of Cuba’s promotional events in Algeria and Tunisia, artists both countries will meet to exchange about the art of dancing and music.

The Cuban delegation will also promote the island’s assets in the cities of Annaba, Constantine and Batna, before leaving for Tunisia on December 17.
