CMC. Sunday, November 14, 2010. HAVANA, Cuba - Cuba announced today that it has reinforced its medical team in Haiti in a bid to be in better conditions to face up the cholera epidemic which has so far taken the lives of 800 people there.

Another group of nurses and doctors from the Latin American School of medicine arrived in Port-au-Prince yesterday.

According to local television news, some of the members of the medical brigade were already in Haiti when an earthquake pounded the Caribbean country in January this year.
