CIEGO DE AVILA, Cuba, Oct 23 (acn) Cuba’s Sport Fishing Federation president José Ramón Cuza Delgado said the large variety of captured fish at the First King’s Gardens International Fishing Tournament reaffirms the potentials of this tourism pole, and described the event as a success.

Cuza Delgado reported in the closing ceremony that the fishermen had caught 2 blue marlins, 10 Dorados, 27 marlins among others, with 9 marlins validated and 4 Dorados.

The abundance of fish in this area, three miles north of Guillermo and Coco Keys in the Bahamas Old Channel, is a guarantee to have high quality tournaments in the future, said the official.

Tauro, a boat with a Canadian, won the event, followed by Atun from Argentine and Coco Diving from the UK

Canadian James Saunders, one of the winners, told ACN news agency that it was a very gratifying experience and of great intensity in which they enjoyed the sea riches to the top.

The organizers of the event, held from October 17 through the 22, already announced that there will be a second edition next year.
