2010.10.13 - 21:45:27 / [email protected]. HAVANA, Cuba.- The promotion of Cuba, one of the favorite tourist destinations in the Caribbean, is expanding in the world with the presentation in Norway of a publicity campaign about the island’s tourist attractions.

According to a communiqué issued by the Cuban Tourism Ministry (MINTUR), the cities of Trondheim and Bergen welcomed the campaign’s caravan, which delighted participants with Cuban music performances.

Likewise, images promoting the nation’s natural resources and its historic, patrimonial and cultural richness were shown, with the purpose of consolidating Cuba as a genuine and safe destination.

Norwegian participants expressed their interest in knowing more about the Caribbean island, as well as their willingness to promote it as an offer in their winter catalogues.

Participating in the meeting were representatives from the MINTUR, the “Sol Melia Cuba”, “Grupo Gaviota”, “Radisson Blu Hotel Norge” and Bergen hotel chains, and the AF-KLM-Martinair airlines, which also sponsored the presentation of prizes during the traditional "Cuban Night.”

The Genuine Cuba publicity campaign will also travel to Scandinavia, Denmark and Finland.
