TEHRAN (FNA)- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is scheduled to visit Tehran in the near future to review ways to further expand bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries with Iranian officials.

Chavez said in Caracas on Sunday that he will visit Iran, Russia and Belarus soon.

He said he would visit the three countries to further expand his country's relations with them.

He added that his visits will be around October 11, starting with the Moscow visit.

Iran has in recent years expanded friendly ties with Latin America, specially in economic, trade and industrial fields.

Since taking office in 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expanded Iran's cooperation with many Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia and Cuba.
