HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 24 (acn) A new documentary on Argentinean-Cuban guerrilla fighter Ernesto Che Guevara will be released in Cuba next October 7, reported Prensa Latina news agency.

“Che: Un hombre Nuevo” is the name of this work by Argentinean Tristan Bauer, which spent 12 years doing the research for this project, which won the Best Documentary award at the Montreal’s World Film Festival this month.

Bauer offers a new portray of Che, with unpublished images and sound recordings, mainly from his family, as well as letters from Che to his mother, and testimonies from his wife, Aleida March.

This documentary was shot in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Cuba.

Bolivian President Evo Morales helped Bauer in this documentary by giving him access to the last two booklets written by Che when he was close to La Higuera, the village where he was murdered, which had not been shown before because they were classified as secret by the Bolivian Army.
