There is still space available for the upcoming 2010-2011 trips to Cuba organized by Marazul Charters. All of those willing to assist in the humanitarian aid project qualify to participate under the Center for Cuban Studies http://www.cubanartspace.net/> specific license for travel (please sign the letter of commitment attached).

The humanitarian aid project is intended to help children with Down syndrome engage in art-related activities with sufficient materials to allow them to study and work in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, video art and sculpture (view pics here <http://www.flickr.com/photos/33669813@N02/sets/72157623882280297/detail/>).

There will be time for you to pursue your individual interests in addition to the scheduled programs (see attachments for provisional programs).

The approximate cost for each group trip includes round-trip air fare from Miami-Havana, Cuban visa, hotels (double-room), breakfast every day, welcoming and farewell dinners and occasional other lunches and dinners, all transportation within Cuba, Cuban guide/translator + Center for Cuban Studies representative, health insurance while in Cuba, and packet of informational materials. Single-rooms are available at an additional cost.

Please note: You must be a full-time educator to participate on the Educators' Delegation and a full-time art professional to participate on the Folk Art Seminar. There are no specific qualifications for the humanitarian aid trips.
