09/15/2010. Eduardo Martin, head coach of the Cuban team that will participate in the 2010 FIBA Americas Championship to be held in Puerto Rico, released the names of five starting pitchers included on the team’s official line-up for the competition.

Martin said that in selecting the pitchers they took into account the number of games to be played during the tournament in order to design the accurate strategy to guarantee a high pitching performance.

At a press conference here in Havana, the Cuban coach also pointed to the need to use two to three relievers, something he said won’t be easy to achieve since there are far more starters than relievers included in the Cuban baseball squad.
